THANKS TO SLA HEALTH FAIR I AM ALIVE!

When Mrs. Maria Webster , a 81-year decided to go the Save Latin America Family Health Fair on September 9 in Union City with a fried, to receive the exams and services that Holy Name Medical Center was offering, she did not know that she was about to go through the scariest moment of her life.

“The nurse took my friend’s blood pressure, and then mine. I had it at 250/125; I was at the verge of a heart attack or a stroke. The nurse who save my life told me; you have to go to the hospital right now, and I did not want to go, but between her and Mr. Ed Torres, director of the program, they convinced me and took me to Holy Name, where Dr. Gastell admitted me and attend to me all weekend until I was out of danger. I am eternally grateful to Holy Name for saving my life.”

“Our community cannot stop attending these Health Fairs. They offer all these free services and that is very important. They saved my life”.
